2020
My last year in Oxford was in 2020. After months of severe lockdown measures due to COVID, people gradually started to gather outside in parks and open spaces. This was our first walk to the southern part of the city in these four years of living here. People scattered across green fields and city energy infrastructures tried to find a safe place without interactions with others. I always felt like my migrant situation in this city and this country was that way, scattered and in my own bubble. During this time living here, my body’s distance from others became a way to relate with them. All of a sudden, everyone had to distance themselves from others. Suddenly everyone became a migrant.
