January, 2014. An ethnographer and his small cellphone camera record and re-enact the 3800 km journey from Santiago (Chile) to Lima (Peru). The 58-hours journey is portrayed as a representation of the emotions and feelings emerging from the moving bodies inside the bus. This is the same trip and bus used by Peruvian immigrants when reaching Santiago by land.
The desert, the hotness inside the bus, the tv programmes in a neutral Spanish accent showing images coming from a distant “global north”, depict and try to grasp the atmosphere of this journey.
